About

Greetings! After spending over 13 years developing websites professionally as both a freelancer and a full-time employee, I decided to take the vision for my business to the next level with Magnetic Webworks.

As you can see in my portfolio, in addition to taking on a multitude of freelance clients, some of the companies I’ve worked for include:

  • Rent.com (an eBay company)
  • GSN (formerly known as The Game Show Network)
  • Orly
  • American Cinematographer

The years and years I’ve spent doing nothing but building websites all day long have given me a unique perspective on what’s involved in taking a website from the idea phase to the actual launch and beyond. I’ve worked with large technology groups, in house, off-site, suit’n slacks corporate, artsy, ragtag, dot-com, and then some. I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the best and brightest in my field, and I’ve also been around to see some of the mistakes that have been made in the industry and learned quite a bit from that as well.

My main focus is integrating the design and functionality of websites, but I’ve also gotten very involved in the design as well as server-side and database development as well (if you have no clue what I’m yammering on about here don’t sweat it).

As for me personally, I can tell you that I live in the Los Angeles area with my gorgeous wife. I also play tenor sax and toured internationally with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra (didn’t build the website!) when I was in college for a semester. I will probably be listening to Bossa Nova, 1960′s television jingles, and funky jazz fusion from the 70′s while working on your project, so hopefully, that’s not a problem (God bless internet radio!). Lastly, I’ll take a cheeseburger over a Michelin-rated 3-star meal any day, FYI.

Now…while some individuals out there may claim to be truly exceptional at doing all of the programming for a website, then properly building the user interface, the graphic design, the copy writing, AND the marketing, my hunch is that such people don’t exist.

And there’s nothing wrong with that.

I strive to do more than just toss up some text and images and call it a website.

What my network of world-class associates and I aim to create for our clients is an honest-to-goodness online presence, and that requires lots of different skills, and truckloads of passion.
