Easy Web Forms with WuFoo
March 28th, 2010
Many moons ago, the task of placing a form on a web site was a dreaded task reserved for only the geekiest of geeks. Of course, that’s no longer the case, and thanks to the beautiful simplicity of WuFoo, anyone with an internet connection can make a pretty strong start.
How it Works – A Quick Pictoral Overview
Rather than bog you down with a mountain of text, I just thought I’d toss up some screenshots of how this works with my captions to ‘splain things.
You can see how powerful this tool is, with its super-easy integration with Mail Chimp (among other services). You can even use a WuFoo form to process credit card payments, making this a great online payment solution for people paid webinars and other live events, or maybe for someone just selling a few products who doesn’t need to create the user experience of an actual online store.
To get a full picture of this form can be used, check out http://www.thesisteroath.com where I used the magic of WuFoo to very quickly set up a means of building up the very beginnings of a new online community for a client of mine. On this site, I was able to collect user info, automatically insert users who checked the opt-in checkbox into a MailChimp email list, and even display the number of people who filled out the form right on the homepage.
So just hop on over to http://wufoo.com and sign up for a free account for starters. I think you’ll be surprised at just how simple and powerful this amazing tool really is.
