What is WordPress?
The days of paying a professional web developer each and every time you need to make a simple website update are over.
WordPress is technology that originally came to fame as a blogging platform, but has since become known as the world’s leading content management system (aka CMS). This means that whether you’re a hardcore blogger, or have no intention of ever writing doing anything remotely related to blogging, WordPress is, in my opinion, the best game in town. And as the winner of the 2009 Open Source CMS Award, it looks like I’m not alone in my opinion. Naturally, this website is running on the WordPress platform.
WordPress allows you to add, delete, and edit pages as well as blog posts in the same way that one might modify their LinkedIn or Facebook profile – all via point-and-click with no coding or technical muckety-mucking necessary. Need to add images, audio, or video? No problem. Need a contact form? That’s a snap too.
With each passing day, the WordPress platform becomes increasingly robust and easy to use. You can read more about WordPress here.
And of course, if you have any questions at all related to WordPress, please feel free to get in touch anytime and I’ll be happy to fill you in on anything you need to know.
